Viele Menschen wurden gerne an Gott glauben, aber sie konnen es nicht, weil sie intellektuelle oder emotionale Hindernisse verspuren. Dabei geht es um das Leiden in der Welt, um das Verhaltnis von Evolution und Schopfungsglauben, um religiose Gewalt, um den Glauben an Wunder, um den Sinn von Gebeten und vieles andere mehr. ‘Gott auf der Spur’ sein ist keine Jagd nach dem Hochsten. Man kann Gott suchen und Barrieren aus dem Weg raumen, finden oder gar erlegen kann man ihn nicht. Letztlich ist Gott es, der den Menschen findet. Um das zu bemerken, braucht es aber ein offenes Herz, das von einem freien Verstand begleitet wird. Hier setzt Harle an. Seine Verstehenshilfen sind nicht nur fur Menschen nutzlich, die sich als unglaubig oder agnostisch bezeichnen, sondern ebenso Glaubende, die immer wieder mit Zweifeln ringen. Zu ihnen zahlt sich auch der Autor selbst.
