Temps cosmique et histoire humaine
Du XIXe au XXe siecle, la temporalite cosmique n’a cesse de s’etendre vers le passe et le futur, de telle sorte que la presence humaine dans l’univers se signale desormais surtout par sa brievete. Comment cette enorme disparite temporelle retentit-elle sur la maniere dont l’homme se represente lui-meme et son histoire dans l’univers? Nombreux sont ceux qui dissocient le temps cosmique et l’histoire humaine pour ne prendre en consideration que cette derniere. D’autres tentent de les articuler dans un recit unique finalise par un principe anthropique ou theologique. Certains, enfin, sont plus attentifs a la contingence et a l’aleatoire dans le monde physique, biologique et humain. Ils soulignent l’ouverture et l’indetermination du futur, la multiplicite des hermeneutiques du passe, ainsi que le risque et la responsabilite associes a toute articulation presente du temps cosmique et humain.
