Dieser zweite Band enthalt Studien von Gelehrten aus Rualand, Litauen, Bulgarien, Osterreich und Deutschland, die sich im Laufe der Jahrzehnte mit eigenen Untersuchungen an der 1970 in Bonn begonnenen Erforschung und Edition der Gottesdienstmenaen beteiligt haben. Diese Arbeiten beschranken sich im Gegensatz zum ersten Band nicht mehr nur auf das mittelalterliche ostslavische Gottesdienstmenaum, sondern berucksichtigen auch Heiligenakoluthien aus dem sudslavischen oder gar georgischen Raum, z.T. spaterer Jahrhunderte. Hierbei finden u.a. ganz moderne Methoden Anwendung, wie z.B. eine linguistische Analyse mit Hilfe spezieller Funktionen der mathematischen Statistik.
