Welcher Art ist die Beziehung zwischen Logik und Grammatik? Diese Frage zu stellen bedeutet eine Rivalitat der beiden Disziplinen anzuerkennen, die Beziehung zwischen Sprache und Denken zu hinterfragen und die Moglichkeit einer allgemeinen oder universellen Grammatik zu diskutieren. Zwischen einem strikten Parallelismus, bei dem Grammatik die Logik des Denkens widerspiegelt, und einer radikalen Trennung, der zufolge grammatikalische Kategorien nichts mit logischen zu tun haben, ist eine Vielzahl von Positionen moglich. Diese werden hier vorgestellt und diskutiert. Dabei charakterisieren die Beitrage eine philosophische Moderne im weiten Sinn, die den Spatscholastiker Antoine Arnauld und die Autoren von Port-Royal, aber auch Anton Marty und Edmund Husserl einschliesst.
