Linguistic polyphony is the simultaneous presence of different voices and point of views within a utterance or text. Multifunctional texts belonging to health care like health records, referral letters, doctor’s letters are highly polyphonic. These text types deal with questions, in which names and manners of speaking, writing, and narrating are performed, who assumes the responsibility for what is uttered, and who’s terminology is used. Therefore, controlling and improving these polyphonic structures may lead to an important improvement of the professional communication in the domain of health care.
