Im Besonderen zeigt sich z.B., welche brieflichen Formeln er im Einklang mit dem allgemeinen hellenistischen Formular verwendet und wo und warum er sich davon individuell abhebt, wie sehr er (z.B. in Fragen der Gemeinde- und Missionsstruktur) das Vokabular und die Strukturen seines Handwerksbereiches verwendet, wo er damalige Ansichten zur Sklaverei teilt und worin er unerwartete Losungen sieht. – Philemon soll seinen Sklaven als Partner, d.h. auch als Geschaftspartner aufnehmen.
