Diese Notiz hing am Bildschirm seines Computers, wahrend Ulrich Knellwolf an seinen beiden Buchern Wir sind’s noch nicht, wir werden’s aber (2016) und Rede, Christenmensch! (2017) arbeitete. Gedichte hat Ulrich Knellwolf seit fruher Jugend gekritzelt. Unter dem Eindruck einer Krankheit jedoch und im theologischen Nachdenken zu den beiden letzten Buchern entstanden ebenso personliche wie theologische Gedichte, die mehr als Notizcharakter haben. Man begegnet in ihnen alltaglichen Situationen, der Erfahrung des Alterns, der Krankheit, dem Tod. Die Gedichte versuchen aber auch, von Gott und von der Auferweckung aus dem Tod zu reden. In ihnen steht die Stimme des Zweifels im Vordergrund, die drangende Frage, wer die letzte Verantwortung fur unser Schicksal tragt. Es sind Gedichte ohne Schutzschicht, es ist ein theologisches Sprechen, von dem man sich keinen abschliessenden Reim machen kann und will.
