“Christen konnen nun den biblischen Gott im Fleisch lieben” – so pragnant formuliert Ivan Illich (1926-2002) die uberraschende Neuheit aufgrund der Inkarnation. Zu seiner Zeit fand er mit seiner prophetischen Stimme zur Reform von Kirche und Gesellschaft kaum Gehor. Nach Auseinandersetzungen mit dem Vatikan verzichtete er 1969 auf die Ausubung seiner Funktionen als katholischer Priester, blieb jedoch ein “Mann der Kirche”. Dieser Band bietet seine Beitrage zur Erneuerung einer christlichen Lebensform und zu einer kunftigen kirchlichen Gemeinschaft angesichts ihrer institutionellen Perversionen in der westlichen Zivilisation. Der Philosoph Giorgio Agamben, den vieles mit dem Denken von Ivan Illich verbindet, verfasste das Vorwort.
