English summary: This volume of a continuous publication series which is a forum for questions on the history of Protestantism in Austria and the Habsburg Monarchy since 1880 is due to an anniversary. In 1861 the emperor Franz Joseph I passed the so-called “Protestant Patent”. The Protestants now obtained largely the same rights as the Catholics. The Society for the History of Austrian Protestantism is taking the occasion of the 150-year anniversary to publish this double volume on the history of Protestantism in the 19th century. The contributions deal particularly with theological schools and political currents at that time which have been little researched to date, with the history of the Biblical Society and with developments in state-church law. In addition there are essays on the Protestants in the Austro-Hungarian Army, on the Philo-Semitism of Superintendent Haase and an analysis of prayer texts from a 16th century Carinthian stone edging. Jahrhunderts befinden.
