The Index theologicus database presently contains more than 183,000 bibliographical references from articles in journals, Festschriften and conference volumes. The possibilities of researching with English language subject headings have been improved. You can now search using English language subject heading chains in the same comfortable way as using the German Schlagwortketten. The combination of two or more search aspects including the English subject headings by Boolean operators is no longer a problem. The current version of the database (August, 2002) contains an index of permuting English subject heading chains. Correspondingly, it is no longer necessary to show the German subject heading chains under the English user interface. Thus, the English subject cataloging is fully equivalent to the German.
