Der Zurcher Reformator Heinrich Bullinger (1504-1575), Nachfolger Huldrych Zwinglis, gehort zu den bedeutenden historischen Personlichkeiten des 16. Jahrhunderts. Durch seine breitgefacherte schriftstellerische Tatigkeit ubte er grossen Einfluss aus und hat vielerorts zur Durchfuhrung oder Konsolidierung der Reformation beigetragen.
