Historic gardens and, more specifically, the Royal Gardens of Venice, are the perfect example of a natural environment becoming a work of art, where vegetal elements take on different forms and reflect different degrees of invention. These gardens reveal the spirit, taste, and creativity of a civilization and also convey its cultural, social, and economic values. Their essence transcends the narrow confines of cultivated land, and the living creatures that inhabit them contribute to the preservation of the natural balance – an awareness that points us back to their origin in order to understand, respect, and preserve them.
