Kann es eine theologische Ethik eigentlich geben? An wen richtet sie sich? Lasst sich gar ein konfessionelles Profil ausmachen? Der Band dokumentiert eine Grundsatzdiskussion uber die Fundamente und Quellen theologischer Ethiken, die heute mehr denn je unter Erklarungszwang stehen. Die Ursachen dafur liegen in gesellschaftlichen Veranderungen – Sakularisierung, Fragmentierung, Individualisierung und Globalisierung -, aber auch in kirchlichen Entwicklungen. In der Folge werden bestimmte traditionalistische oder aber liberale ethische Positionen konfessions- und manchmal sogar religionsubergreifend vertreten. Innerkonfessionell hingegen fuhren diese Veranderungen mitunter zu massiven Konflikten. Vor diesem Hintergrund fragen die Autorinnen und Autoren, wie sich Ethik heute noch als eine theologische ausweisen kann und welche Potenziale darin liegen.
