Michael Gerhardt zielt in der vorliegenden Untersuchung nun darauf ab, ein Dialogmodell zu finden, welches das Auseinanderfallen der Disziplinen – und vor allem der Begriffe Natur und Schopfung – vermeiden kann. Unter Verwendung bibelwissenschaftlicher Ergebnisse und Methoden erarbeitet Michael Gerhardt am Beispiel altorientalischer Firmamentvorstellungen, mit welcher Dialogstrategie Israel seine eigenen theologischen Uberzeugungen zur Umwelt in Beziehung gesetzt hat. Das Ergebnis kann fur die Theologie der Gegenwart leitend werden. Auch sie hat ja theologische Standpunkte im Kontext des heutigen wissenschaftlichen Denkens und damit im kognitiven Horizont unserer Kultur zu kommunizieren. Unter Verwendung aktueller philosophischer Aspekte formuliert das Buch ein Dialogmodell, das verschiedene Disziplinen vor dem Hintergrund des Weltbildes unserer Zeit verbinden kann, und pruft dieses Konzept an einem spannenden Gesprachsthema: Die Entstehungsgeschichte unseres Sonnensystems.
