English summary: Individual Case and General Norm: Equity in Early Modern Legal Philosophy: Since antiquity, legal philosophy has addressed the question of the relationship between individual cases and general norms under the concept of equity. An examination of the concept of equity in the 16th and 17th centuries reveals a hermeneutic character and a theological legitimization as continuities of the author-specifically differentiated concepts of equity. These concepts furthermore provide insights relevant for present-day discourses in legal philosophy.
