In both Judaism and Christianity, the Torah forms the theological basis of the biblical canon, to which the other parts of the canon, Prophecy and Writings, as well as the New Testament, refer. The theological and interdisciplinary contributions examine the meaning of Torah between instruction, metatextual term for the Pentateuch and the Greek concept of nomos. The internal concepts of the Torah are analyzed as well as the diverse ancient internal and extra-biblical references to the Torah, including its significance for contemporary Christian ethics.
