Die Geschichte der Theologinnen ist eines der aufregendsten Kapitel der Kirchengeschichte: angefangen von den ersten Studentinnen zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts uber die fruhen Amtstragerinnen bis hin zum Kampf um das Recht, als Pastorin verheiratet zu sein und Kinder zu bekommen sowie den seit jeher Mannern vorbehaltenen Talar zu tragen. Der Fokus auf die Evangelische Kirche Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz (EKBO) zeigt sowohl die Entwicklungen in Ost und West als auch die gegenseitigen Beeinflussungen. Erstmalig werden in diesem Band nicht nur die historischen Entwicklungslinien nachgezeichnet, sondern zwolf erste, lebende Theologinnen durch die Portrats einer Londoner Modefotografin gewurdigt.
