edited by Georg Hofmeister, Stephan Koch, Sigurd Sadowski, Dirk Wollenweber and Thomas Zippert
English summary: We live in a time of overlapping and simultaneously occurring disasters, be they natural disasters, pandemics or increasing numbers of attacks. This challenges and overwhelms those affected as well as aid workers, emergency pastoral care and crisis intervention and requires a new reflection on the foundations and organizational forms work as well as taking a look at the experiences of earlier times and dealing with new impulses (Traumics). This volume brings together outstanding presentations from the Federal Congress on Emergency Pastoral Care (May 2023) and the symposium More than Words (October 2021).
