Der 63. Band des Jahrbuchs fur Christliche Sozialwissenschaften dokumentiert die Beitrage der internationalen Fachtagung “Christliche Sozialethik – eine zugleich sozial-wissenschaftliche und theologische Disziplin” anlasslich des 70. Jubilaums des Instituts fur Christliche Sozialwissenschaften, Munster. Der Anspruch, die Selbstvergewisserung und Fortentwicklung der Disziplin voranzutreiben, wird auf zwei Ebenen eingelost: Auf der ersten Ebene steht die Korrelation zwischen dem sich verandernden Gegenstand Gesellschaft / das Soziale und den wissenschaftlichen Annaherungsweisen der Sozialethik als einer Sozial-Wissenschaft innerhalb der Theologie zur Debatte. Auf der zweiten Ebene wird das Selbstverstandnis der CSE als Theologie verhandelt, die ihren Gegenstand nur in einer Aneignung unterschiedlicher disziplinarer Logiken beforschen kann, zugleich aber um ein genuin theologisches Profil ringt. Der Band profiliert Christliche Sozialethik als eine zugleich sozialwissenschaftliche und theologische Disziplin, die als solche im interdisziplinaren wissenschaftlichen Diskurs auskunfts- und rechenschaftsfahig ist.
