Sie befassen sich aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln mit den “lieben Nachbarn” und analysieren die Beziehungen Deutschlands, Belgiens und Frankreichs zueinander und im europaischen Kontext. Das in diesem Zusammenhang entwickelte “Krisenmanagement” liess die “lieben Nachbarn” zu einem Motor des europaischen Einigungsprozesses werden.
