Regions in Flux is dedicated to documenting and promoting some of Egypt’s lesser-known archaeological and heritage sites, with a particular focus on the Christian and Islamic heritage of Middle Egypt and the Western Desert. Through ongoing research and documentation, the project brings greater attention to historically significant sites that have often remained outside mainstream archaeological and heritage studies.
By making this material more widely accessible, Regions in Flux provides valuable resources for researchers, heritage professionals, students, and anyone interested in Egypt’s rich cultural history. The project combines field documentation, archival research, and landscape analysis to encourage new perspectives on Egypt’s diverse archaeological heritage while supporting future scholarship and heritage preservation.
