A collection of essays on Bronze Age Aegean art and archaeology in tribute to the early life and work of Anne P. Chapin. The contributions consider different aspects of Aegean Bronze Age including iconography, architecture, trade and exchange, and landscape, as well as newly excavated material, all of which constituted Anne’s areas of interest.

This collection of essays on Bronze Age Aegean art and archaeology is a tribute to the early life and work of Anne P. Chapin. Her work in Aegean iconography was truly revolutionary, and yet she maintained a rigorous academic investment beyond both the academic boundaries of art history and the regional boundaries of Crete, with her focus extending to Mainland and Cycladic archaeological remains. The contributions consider different aspects of Aegean Bronze Age including iconography, architecture, trade and exchange, and landscape, as well as newly excavated material, all of which constituted Anne’s areas of interest. As such, the papers are presented under the two general headings of Iconography and Archaeology.
