Je langer je mehr wird den Kommunitaten aber auch bewusst, dass sie diesen Schatz in irdenen Gefassen tragen. Das erdet ihre Spiritualitat, deren unterschiedliche Ausformung und Auffacherung in den verschiedenen Darstellungen zum Ausdruck kommt. Einige Einblicke in das Leben der Jesus-Bruderschaft Gnadenthal runden die Aufsatzsammlung ab. English summary: This collection of essays and contributions from more than three decades covers the period from the emergence of Protestant communities and their initial rejection by the churches and fellow Christians up to their present-day recognition and appreciation. It reports on the development of transparochial binding common life. It also addresses the charge that this form of life is catholic. Do the communities want to be something special? No, insofar as they live in the discipleship of Christ, which is incumbent upon all Christians. But they do it especially intensely thanks to the common life in which frictions and pains cannot fail to materialize. Where these are endured with the help of God, a radiant and attractive power emerges. The longer the communities exist, the more they are aware that they carry this treasure in earthen vessels. This grounds their spirituality, which is expressed in different ways in the various representations. Insights into the life of the Jesus brotherhood of Gnadenthal round off the collection of essays.
