Il volume intende colmare una lacuna avvertita da anni dagli studiosi del settore: mentre sinora sono state pubblicate due edizioni critiche dei titoli dei Salmi nella tradizione siro-orientale, sinora non è stata mai pubblicata una sui titoli siro-occidentali. Questo libro offre dunque un importante strumento alla ricerca di chi voglia studiare la ricezione del salterio nella chiesa siro-occidentale. Il volume si divide in due parti, nella prima si descrive la metodologia adottata e i ventotto manoscritti utilizzati; la seconda parte è dedicata all’edizione critica dei titoli, di cui si propone la traduzione in italiano e, quando si ritiene necessario, delle annotazioni filologiche su nomi propri e difficoltà testuali. <br /><br />This volume aims to fill a gap that scholars in the field have long recognised: whilst two critical editions of the headings of the Psalms in the Syriac-Eastern tradition have been published to date, none has yet been published for the Syriac-Western headings. This book therefore provides an important resource for researchers wishing to study the reception of the Psalter in the Syriac-Western Church. The volume is divided into two parts: the first describes the methodology adopted and the twenty-eight manuscripts used; the second part is devoted to the critical edition of the headings, providing an Italian translation and, where deemed necessary, philological notes on proper names and textual difficulties.
