English summary: This volume focuses on Polish Jewish relations in the public sphere in Poland from the mid-19th century until after the Holocaust. The second focus is on the different developments of Islam and Judaism under the conditions of modernity. German & English text. German description: Ein erster thematischer Schwerpunkt des Jahrbuchs gilt der gegenseitigen Wahrnehmung von Juden und Nicht-Juden in der polnischen Offentlichkeit zwischen 1850 und 1950. Analysiert wird das polnisch-judische Verhaltnis anhand der judischen literarischen Salons, des Cabarets und Kinos, der judischen Historiographie und Holocaustliteratur sowie der judischen Partizipation am politischen Leben der Zweiten Republik. Ein zweiter Schwerpunkt untersucht die Grunde fur die unterschiedliche Entfaltung der verwandten Traditionen des Islams und des Judentums unter den Bedingungen der Neuzeit. Im Allgemeinen Teil und den Rubriken folgen Portraits von Einzelpersonlichkeiten, ein Forschungsbericht zu den Kindertagebuchern von Holocaustuberlebenden und ein Literaturbericht zu Polen.
