English summary: The issue of freedom in the works of Hobbes has recently been the subject of intense debate. The reason for this lies less in the work itself than in discussions over the meaning of freedom in the second half of the twentieth century. This volume aims to reinstate Hobbes and his contemporaries within the context of their time. French text.
