German description: Vom Suchen und Wiederfinden ist der Leitgedanke, der in der Lehre von Andreas Hild an seinem Lehrstuhl fur Entwerfen, Umbau und Denkmalpflege an der TU Munchen vermittelt wird. Die Methodik basiert auf der Grundvorstellung, dass es in der Architektur keine Erfindungen gibt, sondern lediglich neue Kombinationen aus zuvor Erdachtem und Gebautem. Durch die Betrachtung dieser Kombinatorik und die bewusste Anwendung – im Zuge dauernder Selbstbeobachtung – lasst sich der Entwurfsprozess systematisieren und als Mechanik verstehen.
