This annotated collection records the correspondence of authors of different literary leanings and different political backgrounds under exceptional historical circumstances. It includes the correspondence of Hans Grimm, Arnolt Bronnen, Kasimir Edschmid, Ernst Niekisch, Ernst von Salomon, Ina Seidel, Agnes Miegel, Jochen Klepper and Rudolf Alexander Schroder. Both the connections as well as the disagreements between nationalist writers and those who came from the left or chose the option of ‘inner emigration’ for themselves are shown.
