Hegel est le penseur de la simplicite. Simple est le commencement pur, le vide pur, etre, autrement rien. Mais la conscience se tient sous le signe du Deux, de la scission en deux: la commence son experience, son chemin de simplification. La pensee qui le recueille, avec son sacrifice, l’effacement de soi en lequel elle commence, ne sont jamais impersonnels, ils se concentrent dans la simplicite de la decision, a chaque fois la plus personnelle, par laquelle il est fait accueil a tout ce qui est, dans la noblesse du laisser etre, la hauteur du regard qui laisse en son rayon tout e qui est aller de lui-meme, a travers son intime contradiction, a son sens ultime. Le chemin de la pensee, celui de la negativite la plus dure, est celui de la serenite, il va de la simplicite de l’etre a la simplicite de l’esprit, de l’apparaitre initial qui s’appelle conscience a la manifestation absolue, de tout ce qui est fini jusqu’a la profondeur infinie de son accomplissement. Sur un tel chemin, la simplicite vraie sera la simplicite profonde du concept, la personnalite pure, la plus dense, la plus intense. Meditant la manifestation, la phenomenologie hegelienne n’aura cesse de mediter un tel chemin vers la profondeur, le chemin vers la simplicite.
