Umberto Eco is one of the most important thinkers of our time. In his work as a philosopher, novelist and public intellectual, he dealt with the rules and functions of interpretation in various ways. To do this, he developed his own semiotic approach, which he further developed into a general theory of culture because everything that is culture is a sign.

Ansgar Lorenz lebt und arbeitet als freiberuflicher Illustrator in Mannheim. Sein aktueller Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Erstellung erklärender Illustrationen, also von Sachcomics, Graphic Recordings, Erklärfilmen u. a.
Antonio Roselli, Dr., arbeitet seit 2018 am Zentrum für Wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg als Koordinator für das Programm „Studieren ab 50“. Zuvor war er als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Germanistik und Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft der Universität Paderborn. Er forscht und publiziert u.a. zu Ernesto de Martino, Walter Benjamin, Umberto Eco sowie zur Literatur des Vormärz.
