Quand il est question de troubles psychopathologiques, la scene mediatique est desormais accaparee par les neurosciences dont les nombreux succes eclipsent progressivement une psychanalyse sur le declin. Il est possible naturellement de s’en rejouir mais aussi de s’en inquieter. Inspiree de la phenomenologie existentielle, une autre approche est toutefois possible, qui a le merite insigne de ne pas faire abstraction de l’etre de l’homme malade. La folie est alors envisagee comme une possibilite authentiquement humaine sans laquelle, comme l’ecrivent Ludwig Binswanger aussi bien que Henri Maldiney, l’homme ne serait pas ce qu’il est. Comprendre la folie requiert dans ces conditions une autre anthropologie dont les elements permettent de montrer de quelle maniere l’homme peut tomber malade et devenir fou.
