Jh. in das deutsche Architektur- und Gartenkulturschaffen eingeschrieben haben. Rund 80 Kurztexte geben Einblick in Spektrum und Heterogenitat der Institutionen und Akteur:innen im Planen und Bauen, die seit der Jahrhundertwende an der Ausformung und Durchsetzung der Denkmuster beteiligt waren. Paul Schultze-Naumburg war einer der Knotenpunkte dieser Netzwerke. Er engagierte sich in verschiedenen Kunstlervereinigungen, war in volkischen Kreisen aktiv und hatte enge Kontakte in die Politik. Er formte die nationalsozialistische Bauideologie massgeblich mit. 1930 trat er in die NSDAP ein, 1932 wurde er Reichstagsabgeordneter. Als Mitglied im Sachverstandigenbeirat fur Bevolkerungs- und Rassenpolitik wirkte er nach 1933 als Schreibtischtater an der nationalsozialistischen Rassengesetzgebung mit.
