English summary: The documentary papyri bear most interesting witness to everyday life in antiquity. Thus they are highly valuable for the interpretation of the New Testament, particularly for understanding the everyday life of ordinary people. The papyri vividly depict social relations, economic, medical and legal issues as well as very private problems and rather mundane concerns. Moreover, they also allow a deeper comprehension of metaphorical language and its meaning with regard to theological arguments in the New Testament. The articles in this volume shed light on these manifold issues from the perspective of both Papyrology and New Testament studies, and discuss the relationship between them. The fact that the New Testament writings were also produced and transmitted on papyrus underlines the affinity of both areas of research. Thus the volume is an essential contribution to the interdisciplinary research on the New Testament in the light of the papyri. German description: Die dokumentarischen Papyri gehoren zu den interessantesten Zeugnissen der Antike, weil sie aufschlussreiche Einblicke in den Alltag der Menschen erlauben. Sie sind fur die Auslegung des Neuen Testaments von besonderem Wert, insofern sie helfen, die Lebenswelt neutestamentlicher Autoren und ihrer Adressaten anschaulich zu erschliessen. Die Papyri befordern die Rekonstruktion von konkreten Lebensverhaltnissen, sozialen Konstellationen, juristischen, wirtschaftlichen und medizinischen Fragestellungen bis hin zum Umgang mit privaten Problemen und den eher banalen Dingen des Alltags. Ihre Lekture ermoglicht auch, die rezeptionstheoretischen Aspekte metaphorischer Sprache zu verstehen, die fur die Entfaltung theologischer Zusammenhange wesentlich sind. Die Beitrage des vorliegenden Bandes beleuchten diese Dimensionen sowohl aus der Sicht der Papyrologie als auch der Exegese des Neuen Testaments. Die Tatsache, dass auch die neutestamentlichen Schriften auf dem Medium des Papyrus entstanden und uberliefert wurden, unterstreicht die oft vernachlassigte Affinitat der beiden Fachgebiete. Der Band versteht sich als ein Beitrag zu der inzwischen wieder neu belebten interdisziplinaren Zusammenarbeit zwischen Papyrologie und Exegese.
