English summary: Volume I deals with central epistemological problems: “What is knowledge?”, “Is knowledge even possible?”, “Are there forms of substantial non-empirical truth?”, “Is there an ideal language?”, “Can logic be reasoned?” and “What is science?”. Since this is the first volume of the entire system, the question “What is philosophy?” is raised at the very beginning too, and the reasons why philosophy should begin with epistemology are expounded. Finally, the criterion of meaning guiding the entire work, the principle of knowability, is justified and defended against pertinent objections. German description: Band I behandelt zentrale erkenntnistheoretische Probleme in ihrem Zusammenhang: “Was ist Wissen?”, “Ist Wissen uberhaupt moglich?”, “Gibt es Formen substanzieller nicht-empirischer Wahrheit?”, “Gibt es eine ideale Sprache?”, “Lasst sich eine Logik begrunden?” und “Was ist Wissenschaft?” Da es sich um den ersten Band des Gesamtsystems handelt, wird zu Beginn zudem die Frage “Was ist Philosophie?” aufgeworfen und begrundet, weshalb die Philosophie mit der Erkenntnistheorie (im weitesten Sinn) beginnen sollte. Schliealich wird das leitende Sinnprinzip des Gesamtwerkes, das Prinzip der Wissbarkeit, begrundet und gegen einschlagige Einwande verteidigt.
