The authors inquire into the causes of this development from various scholarly perspectives. In doing so, they approach the boundary where concerns for responsible cooperation and mindfulness turn into a rigid moralism, which the authors try to understand in its various manifestations. In the return to theological foundations and in the spirit of a vital Christian spirituality critical insights and surprising moral relief are revealed.
