This volume reproduces in transcription a unique manuscript of twelve volumes, kept at the Harvard Yenching Library, of the genealogy of the Niohuru clan, one of the most influential Manchu noble clans in the Qing dynasty. The genealogical register is a valuable source for studies in Onomastica Manjurica, which are analysed and discussed in an introductory chapter both from etymological and as well as historical point of view. An alphabetical index facilitates the consultation.
