Review - French En 1397, a Kalmar, Erik de Pomeranie est couronne a la fois roi de Danemark, de Suede et de Norvege selon le souhait de sa grand-tante, la reine Marguerite. LesRiksrad, assemblees representatives de chacun des trois royaumes, acceptent l'union. Dans le royaume hereditaire de Norvege ou le pouvoir monarchique est fort et centralise, le Conseil du royaume a toujours ete un organe de gouvernement entre les mains du monarque. Mais dans les deux autres royaumes ou l'aristocratie fait et defait les rois au gre des elections, leRiksradest une assemblee puissante et autonome. L'etude de la population des Conseils et de leurs relations au pouvoir royal permet de mieux comprendre comment la regente parvient, malgre les resistances, a faire triompher son projet d'union personnelle et hereditaire.
