L’émergence de la civilisation mycénienne en Grèce centrale

Durant la derniere phase de l’Age du Bronze (XVIe-XIe s. av. J.-C.), la civilisation mycenienne voit le jour et s’epanouit en Grece continentale. Alors que la decouverte des tombes a fosse de Mycenes et des tombes a tholos de Messenie a attire l’attention sur le Peloponnese, la Grece centrale se revele egalement sensible aux changements culturels qui se sont produits des la fin de l’Helladique Moyen. Bien que le mode de vie ne paraisse pas s’etre modifie radicalement dans les habitats examines, les sepultures temoignent de changements culturels profonds, comme le suggerent les inhumations successives de plus en plus souvent attestees. Mais ce sont les premieres tombes a chambre et tombes a tholos de l’Helladique Recent II A ainsi que la richesse du mobilier de certaines d’entre elles qui constituent les jalons indeniables de l’emergence de la civilisation mycenienne en Grece centrale.
