English summary: ‘Word and Wisdom’ are the cornerstones of the theological thinking of Johannes von Lupke. With this in mind, the commemorative publication collects contributions on topics in regard to which Johannes von Lupke raises the question of a theology of wisdom. So the first topic section deals with the understanding of language and poetry. Here the foundations are laid for reflections on theological interpretations of the Scriptures that look beyond the reconstruction of the formation of texts. Thirdly, from the perspective of the word of the Scripture human being comes into view. Theological anthropology is, fourthly, clearly influenced by the ideas of Enlightenment, in particular by those of Hamann and Lessing.
