English info text: This study of the miniatures by Yovannes Xizanc’i, an Armenian miniaturist of the 14th-15th century from the province of Vaspurakan, brings to light the diversity in the development of Armenia’s ancient iconographic traditions as well as the continuing influence of folkloric traditions. French text.
