Im Rahmen einer internationalen Studie zur Konfirmationsarbeit wurden in den Jahren 2007/2008 rund 600 Konfirmanden und Konfirmandinnen sowie knapp 70 Mitarbeitende und rund 250 Eltern aus 40 Kirchgemeinden im Kanton Zurich befragt. Mit einer zweimaligen Befragung – zu Beginn und gegen Ende des Jahres – konnten die Erwartungen und Erfahrungen aller Beteiligten im Konfirmandenjahr breit erfasst werden. Thomas Schlag und Rahel Voirol-Sturzenegger prasentieren die Ergebnisse der Studie, interpretieren sie im internationalen Vergleich und. entfalten die theologischen und religionspadagogischen Herausforderungen fur eine zukunftige Konfirmationsarbeit. Der Band zeigt zudem konkrete Perspektiven fur die zukunftige Praxis und die Ausgestaltung der Konfirmandenzeit auf.
