Maren Niehoff provides an exemplary insight into her innovative studies on the relationship between Jewish and Hellenistic culture in antiquity. Using the reception of Alexander the Great in Greco-Roman, Jewish-Hellenistic and rabbinic literature, she demonstrates the interrelationships and negotiation processes between Judaism and Hellenism.
