How can Johann Gottfried Herder’s (1744-1803) five-year period in Schaumburg-Lippe be reconsidered after 250 years? Sixteen contributions by authors from Germany, the USA, Canada, France, Italy, Finland and Japan look into this short but decisive phase of Herder’s life and work.
