English summary: The contributions to this volume are taken mostly from the 6th Qumran conference held in Schwerte during the fall of 2009. In the form of individual case studies and subject-based overviews they discuss the significance that the findings from the Dead Sea hold for the understanding of Jesus of Nazareth and the Pauline texts. Key issues include the question of Jesus’ keeping of the Sabbath and his eschatology. The insights into Jesus’ native language obtainable from the Aramaic prayer texts of Qumran are presented in a new Aramaic reconstruction of the Lord’s Prayer. Detailed studies address the use and interpretation of texts in Paul, the feasts held in the Qumran community, the significance of the Hodayot for the interpretation of Paul and the relevance of the Sapiential Work 4QInstruction for the interpretation of the New Testament.
