Thomas Banziger geht anhand von vier Themenfeldern verschiedenen Konzepten von Wiederherstellung im Esra-Nehemia-Buch nach und pruft, wie diese Wiederherstellung konkret verstanden wurde. Der Autor greift dabei die Frage nach der Einheitlichkeit der Esra-Nehemia-Konzeption auf und stutzt seine Untersuchung auf der Gesamtkonzeption ab. Abschliessend zeigt die Studie, wie die Ergebnisse der theologisch ausgerichteten Analyse auf andere, auch heutige Kontexte ubertragen werden konnen.
