English summary: MS 2 of the Landes- und Hochschulbibliothek at Wiesbaden contains in the Epistularium of Hildegard of Bingen a letter that has never been edited as it is in this codex. It deals with the answer to a letter of her secretary Volmar, abbotof the monastery on the Rupertsberg, in which he describes the feelings of grief the members of the convent may experience on the possible demise of their mother superior, who is at this time more than seventy years old. Hildegard’s answer assembles various earlier texts, so that this letter present in Wiesbaden MS 2 will provide consolation for the sisters and at the same time serve as her prophetic last will. Based on obedience as a central Benedictine attitude, the Saint of the Rheingau outlines a testament that aims to enlighten the lives of her daughters after her passing. This volume presents the edition of both Volmar’s and Hildegard’s letters. This is preceded by a critical analysis of the MS transmission and a reassessment of the Wiesbaden Riesenkodex. German description: Die Handschrift 2 der Landes- und Hochschulbibliothek in Wiesbaden uberliefert im Epistularium Hildegards von Bingen einen Brief, der niemals so ediert worden ist, wie er in diesem Kodex erhalten ist. Es handelt sich dabei um die Antwort auf einen Brief ihres Sekretars Volmar, des Abtes des Klosters auf dem Rupertsberg, in dem dieser die Gefuhle der Trauer schildert, die der Konvent der Schwesternangesichts des moglichen Sterbens ihrer Mutter, die zu diesem Zeitpunktschon mehr als siebzig Jahre alt ist, empfinden. Hildegards Antwortfugt nun verschiedene fruhere Texte zusammen, so daa dieser in der Wiesbadener Handschrift 2 uberlieferte Brief die Schwesterntrosten wird und zugleich Hildegards prophetisches Testament darstellt. Denn ausgehend vom Gehorsam als der zentralen benediktinischen Haltung entwirft die Heilige des Rheingaus das Testament, das das Leben ihrer Tochter erleuchten soll, wenn sie nicht mehr unten ihnen weilt. Dieser Band prasentiert die Edition der beiden Briefe Volmars und Hildegards. Diesen gehen eine kritische Untersuchung der handschriftlichen Uberlieferung und eine Neubewertung des Wiesbadener Riesenkodex voraus.
