Mit IBoT 4 legte Mustafa Eren 1988 den Rest der im Archaologischen Museum zu Istanbul befindlichen hethitischen Keilschrifttafeln aus den Grabungen von H. Winckler und Th. Makridi-Bey vor. Der geringe Umfang der meisten, vordem aus eben diesem Grunde in der Edition ubergangenen, Fragmente erschwerte eine inhaltliche Einordnung ungemein und so blieb trotz der detaillierten Bemerkungen im Inhaltsverzeichnis durch H.A. Hoffner Jr. vieles noch ungeklart. In der Zwischenzeit hat weitere Forschung jedoch viele neue Erkenntnisse erbracht, nicht zuletzt ergaben sich im Rahmen der Aufarbeitung der Texte fur den Transkriptionsband neue Textanschlusse und Duplikatinformationen in durchaus nennenswertem Umfang, die unter inhaltlichen Gesichtspunkten manche Uberraschung brachten. Hiermit werden die Texte im aktuellen Stand der Aufarbeitung vorgelegt, auch um zur Weiterarbeit an diesem zunachst sprode wirkenden Material, dessen Wert sich zumeist erst bei genauester Analyse erschliesst, anzuregen
