Hethitische Texte. Bo 4658-Bo 5000
Transkriptionen. Autographien
by Rukiye Akdogan
English summary: With this double-volume book, Rukiye Akdogan resumes the transcriptions of cuneiform tablets that were discovered in the early 20th century during the excavations in Bogazkoy. Volume 32 in the series “Dresden Studies in Hittitology” (Dresdner Beitrage zur Hethitologie) contains 390 previously unpublished tablet texts. The texts for this volume of transcriptions are a part of the tablet collection housed in the Museum for Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara, which were acquired through either purchase or donation. These tablet texts were derived from the extensive collection which was lent to the Near Eastern Museum in Berlin during World War I and were returned to Turkey in 1987. The layout and organization of this volume is oriented to the volumes of transcriptions which Detlev Groddek has recently published in the same series. As a special feature of this publication, the transcriptions are complimented through the presentation of the autographs of the tablets in large format.
