Der zweite Band der Eugen-Biser-Lectures enthalt die schriftlichen Fassungen der Vortrage, die in den Wintersemestern 2012/13 und 2013/2014 im Rahmen des Seniorenstudiums der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat Munchen gehalten wurden sowie den Wiederabdruck eines Aufsatzes Eugen Bisers (1918-2014) zu seinem Grundgedanken der “therapeutischen Theologie”. Arzte und Theologen thematisieren aus ihrer je eigenen Perspektive unseren Umgang mit der Endlichkeit des Lebens und den leidvollen Prozess des Sterbens. Tod und Leiden konnen als Teil des Lebensganzen trotz aller Fortschritte der Medizin niemals aus dem Leben ausgeblendet werden. Jeder muss lernen, damit umzugehen oder in Bisers Worten: Leben bedeutet stets “Einubung in den Tod”.
