After an introduction into Leibniz and his modal metaphysics of possible worlds Dirk Evers deals with the concepts of possibility and necessity in modern modal logic from a a theological perspective.
English summary: Following an introduction into Leibniz and his model metaphysics of possible worlds, Dirk Evers deals with the concepts of possibility and necessity in modern modal logic. The discussion on quantified modal predicate logic proves to be central to the objectives of the analytical philosophies of religion. By studying the semantics of W.V. Quine, D. Lewis, S. Kripke, A. Plantinga and others, the author identifies those concepts, options and problems which are crucial for any theory of the possible with reference to God. The last part of the book deals with these questions from a theological perspective. Quine, D. Lewis, S. Kripke, A. Plantinga u.a.).
